FOLLOWING the recent successful course in decorative quartz and stone systems, FeRFA held another one-day upskilling course – this time on pumpable and flowable screeds.
The training session was hosted by FeRFA associate member Instarmac at its Tamworth training centre. The day involved a classroom session with FeRFA trainer Terry Foxley, and a practical session led by Andy Hill of PFT Central, who demonstrated the correct setting up procedure of the M-tec mixing pump, preparation of the floor area, how to carry out flow tests and safe operation of the pump.

Each delegate received training notes, a copy of FeRFA technical guide to flowable polymer screeds, and a complimentar y pack from VI Distribution (providers of PPE to FeRFA’s training schemes).
I FeRFA will run another one-day training
course on flowable/pumpable screeds, this time in the south, at associate member Ardex in Haverhill, Suffolk on June 30.
FeRFA also has an upskilling course on self smoothing, static dissipative and slip resistant systems at RSL, Stockport, on July 7. Courses cost £175 per delegate, including all tuition, training materials, course papers, certificate, lunch and refreshments.
