CARPET tiles and loose lay vinyl flooring from QUADRANT have been installed in the London offices of Tagetik.
As part of a complete re-fit, Open Workspace Design turned to Quadrant to provide flooring for the reception, breakout and working spaces. In the reception, Salto Soil loose lay vinyl was used; mirrored in the breakout space with Salto Smoked Oak. In working spaces, Quadrant’s Frequency carpet tile was installed in a random-lay design.
Featuring a 12th gauge construction and made from solution-dyed Antron® fibre, Frequency is suitable for commercial spaces, where its random-lay striated design is said to create a dynamic floor layout.
‘Frequency gave us the looks and abstract pattern we were after, while also helping to hide the office’s floor grills,’ says Saheed Mustapha, designer, Open Workspace Design. ‘We used shades of the same grey colour to give the floor a look that’s apparently random. The end result is great, so I’ll use Frequency again when the opportunity arises.’
The reception’s Salto Soil loose lay vinyl tile in a coordinating grey is said to create flow. In the breakout area, Salto Smoked Oak vinyl planks continue the grey theme with an additional wood effect. Salto loose lay vinyl is reportedly rated for extreme contract use and features UV surface protection, claimed to provide fade resistance and easy maintenance.
‘We opted for Quadrant for the way we could coordinate looks across different flooring types allowing us to enjoy the right qualities for each space,’ says Saheed.
