3M says its Nomad Modular 8900 entrance matting, installed in November 2009 in the North Point Shopping Centre, Hull, has coped very well with two severe winters and transformed the experience of around 20,000 visitors per day.
Alan Kane, the centre manager, says, ‘We wanted something special that would uplift customers and be practical, removing moisture and dirt from visitors’ shoes, and prevent any accidents on the glossy terrazzo floors. ‘When we compared the key factors of performance, price and appearance with other products
this matting was clearly the one for us. Its durability and appearance retention are outstanding.’
The matting is framed with heavy duty rigid vinyl and utilises the Aqua textile with fine and coarse tufted
loop fibres.
