Harvey Maria’s 'authentic woods' chosen for Gould Barbers chain
HARVEY MARIA says its authentic wood effects have been fitted in Gould Barbers locations at 18 Tesco stores across the UK. Installed by Norfolk-based Featherby Flooring, the family-owned barbers is said to offer a traditional barber shop experience for customers of all ages. Registered emboss designs from Harvey Maria’s new MSeries and Premium Wood collection were chosen to reflect the shops’ authentic interior design, reportedly providing a real wood look with a host of practical benefits.
Gould Barbers was founded by Darran and Leigh Gould, in Kings Lynn, in 2013. The brothers opened their first Tesco-based shop in 2016 and now have 19 outlets in stores from Chesterfield to Gatwick. Over the next year, they plan to expand into 50 additional Tesco stores, creating around 400 new jobs.
The chain’s interior design is described as sleek and clean. Mono-toned paint finishes, black leather and chrome contrast with oak counters and Harvey Maria’s authentic wood decors. The two wood-effect plank designs, English Oak from the MSeries Natural Oak Collection and Premium Wood Walnut, are said to give an authentic, richly grained wood finish with the practical benefits of an LVT. The surfaces also reportedly provide a durable and waterproof floor finish, ease of maintenance and slip resistance; all essential within a high traffic barber shop environment.
'The Gould Barbers projects had one strong criteria, quality. This is clearly the business model Darran and Leigh are successfully emulating throughout their growth. Installing a floor covering of our choice for the continuation of this quality into the business was very important to Gould Barbers as a brand, its clients, staff and the Tesco stores they are situated within. Our chosen product to fulfil this criteria was Harvey Maria, who worked tirelessly to fill every order and ensure the product was delivered on time and to a very high standard; a fantastic team to work with and for this we thank them,' commented Dean Featherby from Featherby Flooring.
