‘modulyss wows at Clerkenwell Design Week’
IN what it describes as a stunning installation premiering the soon to be launched Fluid& carpet tile range from floor-to-ceiling ‘and using mirrors to create a seemingly endless experience’,
modulyss says it wowed visitors at this year’s Clerkenwell Design Week.
‘Also unveiling the 90% recycled content comfortBack backing that delivers sneaker-like underfoot comfort and absorbs wear, modulyss used the design exhibition to tell London’s A&D community about its growing position as one of the carpet tile industry’s innovative, value-driven manufacturers,’ says the company.
'There’s no doubt that, in its tenth year, Clerkenwell Design Week is now considered the capital’s best event for commercial interiors and we were delighted to tell the modulyss story to visiting architects and designers,' says Jamie Beighton, sales director, modulyss.
'With products such as Fluid&, the newest addition in our coordinated &-collection, it’s easy to see how we’re pioneering great design, but there’s a lot going on beneath the surface too, with product innovations such as comfortBack and our CO2RE sustainable initiative testament to this.'
Displayed right across modulyss’ Project stand in what the company described as a striking green colourway, Fluid& is inspired by the organic, free-flowing aesthetic of adding paint to water. ‘Rejecting the need for exacting precision, Fluid& celebrates the flawed with texture that exploits the latest in direct digital print techniques to achieve a sense of water-like movement that’s perfectly imperfect,’ says the company.
‘Upholding the mix-and-match principle, the design can be coordinated with Velvet& and Fashion& for another layer of creative possibility.’
It adds: ‘Shortlisted for Mixology19, Fluid& is available in a palette of luscious tones in ochre, green, blue, rust and grey for a bold yet soothing design that has a strong organic feel.’
Available as standard in six colourways on First Absolute, DSGN Cloud and DSGN Tweed, comfortBack reportedly uses a specially developed 90% recycled content polyester felt that delivers underfoot comfort and that’s also said to be dense enough to absorb footfall time and time again. ‘Providing the long-term durability and strength demanded in today’s busy offices, the backing is a great way to bring sneaker-like comfort to any workspace,’ says modulyss.
