A touch of velvet from modulyss
DOMOTEX sees the launch of the latest carpet tile collection from modulyss in Velvet&, introducing the look of time-worn velvet to commercial interiors.
Through a 1/12th gauge random tip-sheared loop pile texture, modulyss claims it presents lavish contrast; a tight and dense structure interspersed by areas of velour for a reportedly rich-velvet feel. By combining bright and dull yarns with an organic design through rising falling textures and pile heights, Velvet& is said to deliver a 3D effect in any setting. Velvet& is available in a palette of 18 colours, including rust, navy, ocean, burgundy, ochre, purple and grey.
Designed as part of the long-running ‘&’ concept, which allows selected styles to be used together, Velvet& can be used in on its own or in conjunction with colours from Fashion& for a tone-on-tone effect.
Vanessa Van Overmeeren, product development manager, explains:
‘Velvet& represents the next step in our long-running coordinated approach to the way we design carpet tiles. We ensure launches combine perfectly with those from preceding years, considering how they can be used together to create interesting layouts through changes in design, texture or colour.’
Made from 100% Aqualon polyamide, said to provide durability and ease of maintenance, Velvet& adds Back2Back recycled content backing for stability. The carpet tile reportedly comes rated Class 33 for heavy commercial use, making it suitable for office and hospitality environments.
In addition, Velvet& reportedly works towards LEED Credit 4.3 and CRI Green Label Plus certified.
