Abingdon Flooring | Launch of ‘premium carpet tiles’

ABINGDON Carpet Tile Division has launched Infinite, a new collection of what it describes as premium carpet tiles made from ECONYL, regenerated nylon.

A Class 33, BREAM-rated loop-pile carpet tile in 26 colourways and a mixture of plain and linear designs, Infinite is designed to allow unlimited layouts and as a foundation to the creation of inspiring spaces.

Said to be suitable for most commercial situations such as newbuild, main contractor builds and government spend projects, the carpet tile is claimed to provide faultless performance for busy locations. Using ECONYL solution-dyed nylon repurposed from discarded fishing nets, Infinite provides what’s described as a strong ecological stance, but with stain and fade-resistance it reportedly makes cleaning and maintenance easier for end-users too.

The loop-pile tufted 1/10th gauge construction sits atop a modified polymer bitumen backing, with a comfort backing also available to help combat noise reduction and insulation concerns.

Helping combat impact noise by 26dB, the optional 100% recycled backing ensures Infinite helps meet Building Regulations, significantly reducing sound between floors.

‘Infinite is our premium carpet tile designed to tick all the boxes for clients looking for the best in style, quality and everyday performance,’ explains Martin Peace, sales director, Abingdon Flooring. ‘With a wide colour palette and a useful stripe design, it’s a really versatile collection that can turn its hand to almost any space. With the confidence and reassurance which comes in the performance of ECONYL yarn, specifying Infinite is a worry-free way to a great looking floor that will stay looking good.’

With functional blues and greys joined by coordinated stripes and contrasted with flashes of bright ruby, bright emerald and bright amber, Infinite reportedly provides design scope with enough combinations to deliver fresh and unique layouts. Equipped with a 12-year wear warranty, Infinite is available from stock for fast delivery.
