Clerkenwell Design Week: Modulyss

PREMIERING what it describes as the ‘perfectly imperfect’ pattern of Fluid&, modulyss is exhibiting at Clerkenwell Design Week for the second time, showcasing its range of carpet tile collections in Project, St James Church, 21-23 May 2019.

Also unveiling comfortBack, a 90% recycled content PET felt backing, that reportedly improves underfoot comfort and absorbs wear, the Belgian manufacturer says it is underlining its growing position as one of the UK’s leading carpet tile companies.

‘Clerkenwell Design Week is one of the biggest events for London-based architects and workplace designers and so gives us a unique opportunity to demonstrate the design depth and technical innovation found throughout our portfolio,’ explains sales director, Jamie Beighton.

‘With the launch of Fluid&, we’re using the event as chance to demonstrate our continual efforts in coordinated product development, as well as the thoughtful engineering behind technologies such as comfortBack, and sustainable initiatives including CO2RE and the use of ECONYL regenerated nylon yarn’ Jamie says.

Available as standard on First Absolute, DSGN Cloud and DSGN Tweed, comfortBack is said to ensure modulyss’ high-performance carpet tiles last longer, while also making them reportedly quieter and more comfortable. Said to reduce fatigue and noise, the high-performance backing reportedly contributes to improved wellbeing in the workplace.

Following on the back of the ‘striking time-worn velvet looks of Velvet&’, modulyss says, Fluid& expands the company’s long-running coordinated approach to designing carpet tiles through the &-collection. Ensuring launches combine with those before through the ‘mix&match’ principle, the &-collection is now said to be even more powerful, with the launch of Fluid& at this year’s CDW adding another layer of creative possibility.
