Havwoods at Clerkenwell

INTERNATIONAL wood flooring brand, Havwoods is introducing new collections with the launch of its latest wood book in April. The brand’s latest developments in surface design celebrate what it calls the creativity of wood, showcasing product developments for both the residential and contract projects market.

The latest trend for intricate surface design can now reportedly be realised with Hawvoods’ engineered wood blocks, launching soon. A new introduction to the Design collection, a beautifully patterned floor can be created with ease from a choice of three geometric shapes: Mansion Weave, Diamonds and Stretch Hexagons. Havwoods says the designer can let their imagination run wild when it comes to creating a unique design. Designers can, the company says, opt for a single wood finish, or mix and match from a choice of three contrasting wood colours.

Valour engineered boards from Havwoods are claimed to provide a superior abrasion, scratch and impact-resistant solution to extend the life and appearance of your wood flooring. Valour’s hardwearing finish is said to offer a similar surface to that of an oiled floor, combined with the durability and resistance of a UV-oiled coating. This results in a finish that is reportedly five times more resistant against cracking compared to standard lacquered boards, meaning the white marks commonly associated with this surface are a thing of the past. The new Valour collection will launch at Clerkenwell Design Week.

Havwoods' latest development in raised-access flooring, Magna’s magnetic fit system is said to offer a versatile solution for installation in multi-purpose commercial premises, providing accessibility to underfloor services that cannot otherwise be installed in wall cavities. Magna’s magnetised and foam-sealed wood boards are said to provide a secure connection to the supporting structural pedestals, which can reportedly be disconnected using a suction lifter to allow for maintenance and repair to the concealed services. In comparison to conventional fit methods, Havwoods says Magna is up to 90% faster to install making it suitable for large-scale office and retail environments where a quick turnaround is essential. The magnetic system is offered across the majority of Havwoods' wood floor finishes, creating what the company describes as 'flexible floorcoverings that cater to both aesthetic and practical specifications'. The company also says it offers a lifetime guarantee on Magna’s magnetic components to provide durability and complete peace of mind.
