Healthcare - Pro-Tek
PRO-TEK WPC reportedly provides the ideal flooring option for healthcare environments. Offered in 40 wood and stone effects, the engineered vinyl floor is said to give a host of practical features, including a hygienic, waterproof surface finish and a robust, phthalate-free construction.
It also reportedly features an integral underlay and glue-less locking joint, which cuts installation time and minimises disruption.
‘Pro-Tek WPC’s construction is made up of six individual layers,’ says the company. ‘The surface comprises a 0.7mm commercial-grade wear resistant layer, with a UV anti-scratch finish, a fade-resistant décor layer and a luxury vinyl top layer.
‘Underneath, a waterproof WPC (wood plastic composite) core incorporates a glue-less locking system and sits above a premium IXPE foam underlay base. The construction provides acoustic impact sound performance up to 24db and also eliminates ‘telegraphing’. In addition, materials used are 100% recyclable.’
All floors have a calming ‘biophilic’ design, which promotes a feeling of wellbeing, says the company. Wood-effects are divided into four collections - Excel, Essential, Distressed and Excel Long Plank – and Excel Tile includes slate, travertine and marble-effects. The range also includes colour and décor-matched accessories - including T bars, end bars, reducer bars, L mouldings and stair nosings – each with a waterproof WPC composite wrapping.
Pro-Tek WPC is suitable for healthcare settings, from hospital to care-home, and in basements and over underfloor heating.
