Itec and Bristol’s Fusion House

ITEC Contract Floors says it provides installers with a single source for their education flooring needs, whether acoustic, decorative or safety flooring, or a combination of the three, is required for the job at hand.

Itec says it’s long set the benchmark for versatility in its sheet vinyl portfolio, with collections such as Concept Woods and isafe becoming what it describes as strong customer favourites across the UK.

‘A string of successful installations in 2016 demonstrate the collections’ power of performance, with positive feedback often received from installer and end-user alike,’ says the company.

Bristol’s Fusion House was reportedly a prime example of how Itec’s flexible offering can come to the aid of an education location, with the purpose-built student accommodation requiring a smart and practical choice underfoot.

Silento Timber was specified to cover the site’s 457 bedrooms, this collection said to represent Itec acoustic flooring at its best. Silento Timber provides what Itec describes as excellent sound absorption - ideal to combat the threat of loud footsteps - and a series of designs that will retain their looks for time to come.

‘Itec’s flooring choice is equally adept at adding to school locations, GEMS Primary Academy, Twickenham, being another site to benefit from the range’s far-reaching credentials,’ the company says.

‘This time, a combination of acoustic and safety flooring was selected, providing sound reduction and slip resistance, and therefore a safe environment for students and staff to work in. Crucially, the floors also aligned with the academy’s fresh and innovative way of thinking, helping bring the buildings up-to-date with a cool neutral palette underfoot.’

Adding to acoustic and safety flooring choice is Itec’s decorative sheet vinyl flooring range, Concept Woods described by the company as a favourite that was installed at the Rykneld Community Centre, Derby.

This site is run by an Enthusiasm charity that does great work for young people in the local area, and Itec said it was delighted to donate an oak décor to bring the site’s design in line with 2016. Concept Woods is sure to stand the test of time, its oak looks arriving with a very heavy commercial wear rating and simple care and cleaning.

David Bigland, sales director UK, explains: ‘We’re expecting 2017 to be a hugely positive year for the Itec brand, following much success in the 12 months just gone. We provide an excellent single source for acoustic, decorative and safety flooring, allowing the same design to be specified across all three stables.

‘This is ideal for education locations who seek a consistent look but varying credentials from area to area; flexible flooring choice at its best!’
