POLYFLOR recently donated more than 300sq m of its safety flooring to Stockton-on-Tees Sea Cadets for the refurbishment of The Cadet Centre in Thornaby.
The Stockton-on-Tees Sea Cadets is part of the UK’s oldest nautical youth charity, with its headquarters based close to Polyflor’s Teesside manufacturing plant.
Fitted free by local flooring contractors Florcraft, Polysafe Standard PUR safety flooring in Cool Aqua was installed throughout the centre’s main hall, kitchens, stairs and corridors, with Polysafe Hydro in White Stone also laid in the shower area.
Lynne Apedaile, president of the Stockton Unit Sea Cadets said, ‘We’re very grateful to Polyflor for providing us with some much-needed new flooring for our centre refurbishment. They’ve helped us create a safe space for the cadets to carry out their meetings and training.’
Available in 16 shades, the Polysafe Standard PUR range incorporates safety aggregates in the vinyl to create safe yet attractive interiors in commercial or residential settings.
Polysafe Standard PUR floorcoverings reportedly comply fully with HSE and UK Slip Group Guidelines to give sustainable slip resistance throughout their guaranteed life, achieving 36+ on the Pendulum wet test (Slider 96/Four S rubber) with a surface roughness of 20 microns and above.
They also adhere to EN 13845 – the European standard for safety flooring and feature the exclusive Polysafe PUR reinforcement ‘for optimum appearance retention and superior cleaning benefits’.
