Polyflor - Decorative vinyl & LVTs
EXPONA Simplay loose lay luxury vinyl tiles from Polyflor have formed part of a creative working space for video game developer Ubisoft’s office in Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
Installed by Monument Flooring based in Gateshead, 186sq m of Expona Simplay PUR tiles in the American Oak design features in meeting rooms and communal areas at the Ubisoft office, where developers create popular games such as Assassin’s Creed, Tom Clancy’s The Division and Watch Dogs.
The American Oak design is a classic oak with bevelled edges that reportedly complements the office’s bright, bold and modern interior design scheme. Said to be quick to install, these loose lay tiles were the suitable choice for fitting alongside carpet tiles which were used in other areas.
Phil Duggan from Monument Flooring Services said, ‘We’ve been impressed with the quality of Expona Simplay flooring and the finish we have been able to achieve at Ubisoft. The fact that it can be fitted so quickly is a big benefit when we are working to tight schedules.’
The Expona Simplay collection of loose lay vinyl tiles and planks offers 40 authentic wood, stone and textile effects presented in an adhesive-free, ready to lay product designed to reduce installation time, says Polyflor.
The company adds that each plank or tile can be installed, lifted and reinstalled elsewhere without leaving residue, with the product’s ‘unique, non-skid honeycomb backing layer and thicker 5mm gauge ensuring that the tiles stay in position’.
Expona products are enhanced with Polyflor PUR, Polyflor’s ‘exclusive and robust polyurethane reinforcement which is cross-linked and UV cured to provide superior cleaning benefits and a cost effective maintenance regime’.
Brochures and presenters featuring the Expona Simplay collection are available. Sampling from Expona ranges can be ordered free on the Polyflor website or by calling the Polyflor Samples Direct Hotline on 0161 767 2551.
