PRO-TEK - flooring in retail and shopping areas
AVAILABLE in 40 wood and stone-effects, PRO-TEK WPC provides a new engineered vinyl floor solution for high traffic retail environments. Featuring a six-layer waterproof construction - with built-in underlay - the new design reportedly requires minimal floor preparation and has an integral glue-less joint system. Boards are said to lock together to create a durable, dimensionally stable surface with acoustic impact sound performance up to 24db.
PRO-TEK WPC’s engineered vinyl core comprises an IXPE foam underlay base, a waterproof WPC (wood plastic composite) core layer with glue-less locking joint and an LVT stability layer. The visual surface includes a fade-resistant décor layer, commercial grade stain-resistant wearlayer and a durable, anti-scratch UV layer.
The floor’s total thickness is between 7-8.5mm and the materials used are said to be phthalate-free and recyclable.
Onsite, PRO-TEK WPC’s integral waterproof underlay and glue-less joint cut installation time dramatically, the company says, adding that the robust construction eliminates problems associated with ‘telegraphing’.
PRO-TEK WPC wood effects are divided into four collections - Excel, Essential, Distressed and Excel Long Plank – and Excel Tile includes eight marble, slate and travertine effects. The range also includes four-sided bevelled edges and waterproof WPC vinyl-wrapped accessories, from doorway T-bars, to stair set tread and riser profiles.
PRO-TEK WPC designs are said to be third-party ISO accredited. To find out more, contact Paul Heatley, general manager UK, Ireland & Europe, using the details below.
