Quadrant & SVP
GLOW carpet planks from British company, Quadrant, are said to add flooring style to the Mayfair offices of hedge fund managers, SVP.
Specified by office design company Oktra, about 550sq m of Glow in the off-white colour of Lucent, now adorn workspaces within the offices. There are few carpet planks - here used in a 100x25cm format - that can bring such a luxurious and elegant look, while still providing the necessary levels of performance for working environments, says Quadrant.
Reportedly made from cut-pile 100% Aqualon PA type 6.0 for resilience and ease of maintenance, Glow was specified with the Quadrant Liftbac system, featuring a pre-applied adhesive that is claimed to make installation fast and planks easy to replace should the need arise. With a tufted 1/10th gauge construction, Glow is said to bring a look not often seen in office interiors.
James Scully, managing director, Quadrant, comments: ‘Projects such as SVP are a rare opportunity and we were delighted when Oktra turned to us for a high-style, luxury carpet that also needed to withstand use in an office environment; Glow was just the right carpet for the task. The fit-out is stunning and certainly one that demonstrates how taking a different approach from more conventional tight, loop-pile carpet tiles can lead to an extraordinary, high-impact result.’
Glow is part of Quadrant’s multi-disciplinary flooring portfolio for commercial interiors, which includes carpet tiles, carpet planks, broadloom, area rugs, Salto vinyl planks and the Ntgrate range of woven vinyl flooring. Palettes are designed to coordinate and give workspace designers the opportunity to deliver clients ‘unique and expressive’ flooring layouts, says Quadrant.
