Stone - Tilemaster Adhesives
TILEMASTER Adhesives’ range includes various fixing options for natural stone, with features reportedly including extended pot-life, stain-resistance and low-water ratios. Products are manufactured in the UK and are offered alongside colour-matching grouts and silicones.
For all types of stone, as well as porcelain and ceramic tiles, Tilemaster Setaflex Semi-Rapid is claimed to provide a flexible adhesive option.
‘The innovative, industry-first S1 rated adhesive has an extended pot-life of between 90-120 minutes - to accommodate longer working times and adjustment – but can still be grouted after six hours,’ says the company.
‘The adhesive is also formulated to help prevent staining of natural stone and it can be applied from 3-12mm bed depth. Setaflex Semi-Rapid is suitable for use on most substrate types, including timber floors and underfloor heated areas that may be prone to some movement and/or vibration. Moisture tolerance and frost resistant features also make it suitable for outdoor pavers and cladding, and for use in wet environments.’
For finishing inside and outside, Tilemaster’s revamped Grout 3000 range now includes 18 colour options, with five new on-trend ‘greige’ shades joining the series earlier this year.
‘Grout 3000 is mould and water-resistant and remains efflorescence free,’ says Tilemaster. ‘It’s suitable for a wider range of grout joints - from 1-20mm in depth and width – and provides a working time of about 30-45 minutes.
‘Floors can be walked on after about three hours, with a final set time of 24 hours. Tilemaster’s Silicone 3000+ is a low modulus, neutral curing silicone sealant that offers colour-matched options for the whole Grout 3000 range. Silicone 3000+ is a flexible mould and water-resistant formulation, making it ideal for kitchens, bathrooms, wet rooms and leisure environments.’
