Tarkett - contract carpets

TARKETT, which describes itself as a global leader in innovative and sustainable solutions for flooring and sports surfaces, has launched Desso Harvest, a carpet tile collection that uses light and shade to inject texture and subtle movement into workplace design.

Tarkett says it’s harnessed a two-tone yarn effect to ‘cleverly capture the windswept wheat fields and rustic wood looks that were the inspiration for Desso Harvest’.

Each tile in the range differs slightly to the next and the contrasting colours add rich depth. The finished result reflects the beautiful irregularities seen in nature, says the company.

‘The idea was to creatively mimic the Earth’s perfect imperfections as best we could,’ says Ludwig Cammaert, design and technical development director for Desso carpets at Tarkett. ‘We feel we’ve done this by drawing on the calming energy the design conveys to breathe new life into commercial spaces.’

A collection of nine neutral grey and beige tones, offset by three organic accent colours (12 options in total), presents a subtle palette and an array of striking configurations, says Tarkett.

‘The 50x50cm structured loop pile carpet tile may be used on its own, in a single colour; or in two or more colourways for impact and to ‘zone’ the space. Alternatively, Desso Harvest can be combined with other plain tiles in complementary colours from the Desso collection to intersperse the flow in intriguing ways.’
