Tilemaster surface preparation range
TILEMASTER ADHESIVES’ surface preparation range includes a new DPM and screed system that’s said to be ‘floor-ready’ in 5-6 hours. The combined system includes Tilemaster’s FAST One Coat DPM and Super Flow 30, which can be used across a range of substrates, including underfloor heating systems.
Epoxy-based FAST One Coat DPM is a two-part solvent-free product that cures in between 4-5 hours. It can be used on surfaces with a relative humidity of up to 98% and where no structural DPM is present.
Once dry, the smooth, glossy surface is resistant to water, grease, oil, dilute mineral and organic acids. If a structural DPM is ineffective or not present, a second coat is applied.
Once FAST One Coat DPM is cured, the ultra-rapid setting self-levelling compound Super Flow 30 can be applied.
Super Flow 30 can be walked on after just 30 minutes; ceramics can then be installed within 45-60 minutes and decorative floorcoverings after 90 minutes.
As well as offering a fast-track solution, the two-part system has superior flow, self-levelling and adhesion properties, and provides a constant ‘glass-like’ surface finish.
Other benefits include ample working time of 10-15 minutes, and a low-odour and protein-free formulation. Super Flow 30 can also be used to pre-smooth, prior to applying a DPM.
‘Tilemaster products are manufactured in Lancashire and are designed to promote a fast, easy installation, with multiple performance benefits,’ says the company.
