Underlay and acoustic flooring - Pro-Tek
PRO-TEK WPC, which is described as the next generation engineered vinyl floor, is said to offer a raft of performance benefits, including acoustic impact sound performance up to 24db.
The new waterproof ‘wood plastic composite’ floor features a robust multi-layered construction and integral premium IXPE foam underlay base.
Boards are said to lock together to create a durable and dimensionally stable surface with ‘exceptional acoustic impact sound performance, suitable for commercial and residential application’.
Five Pro-Tek WPC collections offer 40 floor designs, in wood and tile effects. Each measures between 7-8.5mm in thickness and comprises seven individual layers: a 0.7mm commercial-grade wear-resistant layer, with a UV anti-scratch finish; a fade-resistant décor layer and luxury vinyl top layer; and a reportedly highly stable and 100% waterproof core – with glue-less locking system – above the underlay base.
‘In addition to acoustic performance, these combined features provide a fast installation over most existing hard floorcoverings, including ‘wet’ underfloor heating systems.
Onsite, Pro-Tek WPC brings considerable time-saving benefits to the flooring contractor. Minimal floor preparation and the product’s integral underlay cut installation time dramatically, while the construction also eliminates problems associated with ‘telegraphing’.
In addition, the designs are phthalate-free, and all materials used are 100% recyclable.
Pro-Tek WPC is offered in a range of formats, textures and shades. Wood effects are divided into four collections - Excel, Essential, Distressed and Excel Long Plank – while Excel Tile includes eight tile designs, in marble, slate and travertine effects.
The range also includes four-sided bevelled edges and 100% waterproof WPC vinyl-wrapped accessories, from doorway T-bars, to stair set tread and riser profiles.
Pro-Tek WPC designs are third-party ISO accredited. To find out more, visit the below-listed website, mobile, landline or email Paul Heatley, general manager of UK, Ireland and Europe.
