The British Wool Marketing Board based in Bradford
represents nearly 60,000 sheep farmers with about 20 million sheep. Approximately 37 million kgs of fleece wool is graded and sold at auction for use in the manufacture of carpets, clothes , bedding and soft furnishings in over fifty countries. Promotion of British Wool with the international textile industry is a major function along with supporting and showcasing yarn development and innovation.
