Best use of flooring in Healthcare

Arcadia Flooring and Polyflor

Arcadia Contracts replaced flooring in 12 consulting rooms, three treatment rooms, two flights of stairs, two corridors and the waiting and reception area at Southfields Surgery. 650sq m of Polyflor Wood FX was used to cap and cove in the surgical rooms. Four installers were used over two weekends to minimise disruption to surgery services.

Danfloor and M.G Flooring Ltd

Over three months, five fitters installed products from Danfloor’s Equinox Collection at the Chocolate Works Care Village. Springfield Healthcare, which commissioned the work, said: ‘We selected the Equinox Collection owing to its fantastic choice of colours and the noted durability of the product.’

Newlife Contracts (Flooring) Limited and Tarkett

Over three months, and with installers working three at a time out-of-hours, Newlife completed an installation at Marsden Road Health Centre in South Shields that saved the NHS more than £150,000 on labour and materials by not having to replace the subfloor throughout the building. Products used included Tarkett Safetred Wood Loose-lay.
