CPG’s Flowcrete and TREMCO brands ‘under the spotlight’ at expo

‘HELP for contractors from Flowcrete and TREMCO, and their technical excellence created a bang at the CFJ Online Flooring Expo on Thursday 1 July,’ according to the Construction Product Group (CPG).

‘The level of training and support, high-performance products, and exceptional technical advice available to contractors and specifiers using CPG’s Flowcrete and Tremco brands went under the spotlight at the expo.

‘The CPG team put together a packed agenda, showcasing the scope and scale of the business in the UK and bringing to life the unique attributes of products across its brand portfolio.’

The online audience gained insight into the latest product technologies, including the new Isocrete Flowing K Screed system from Flowcrete, which ‘has made an immediate impact in the marketplace this year with its combination of strong, fast-drying, self-levelling, coupled with low shrinkage properties’.

The company said visitors to the CPG UK stand also discovered more about TREMCO’s heritage in creating innovative flooring solutions, with the team carrying out a deep-dive into its systems, discussing early developments as the founders of damp-proof membranes, through to introducing advanced technology smoothing compounds, such as the SX600.

Guests interacted in the event and had their questions answered during the team’s ‘Can you afford not to TREMCO?’ presentation.

David Black, sales director for CPG UK’s Flooring division, said: ‘The expo offered a great platform to showcase the products in our range and set out the performance, quality and value that makes them so strong in the marketplace.

‘We were able to introduce key members of our team who lead our sales and technical support across contractor, distributor and specifier networks and it was a great opportunity to demonstrate the wealth of experience they have in the flooring industry and highlight the importance they place on collaborating with our customers.

‘We also previewed our approved partner scheme discussing our fully trained, and monitored network of approved installers, who are experts in what they do and in how to apply our products correctly. We work very closely with our partners to make sure we offer consistently high standards of both workmanship and customer service that the industry demands.’

CPG’s investment in the UK, including a £20m package to create Tremco and Flowcrete floor screed manufacturing facilities, as well as a multimillion pound state-of-the-art distribution centre in Leicester, were one of the subjects discussed.

And online viewers found out how the CPG academy, a centre of excellence for practical and virtual training and development based in Cheshire, will create a new environment for specifiers, contractors, and tradesmen to learn the latest in performance flooring as well as joint sealing, bonding and insulation, passive fire protection, waterproofing and roofing solutions.

David added: ‘We’re focused on enhancing our training in both a face-to-face environment at the CPG academy, as well as virtually. The delivery of our RIBA-approved CPDs is also a cornerstone of our activity, as well as our popular Coffee Chat initiative, which broadens discussions on key industry topics.’
