EXPERIENCED FLOOR-LAYERS & IMPROVERS/APPRENTICES REQUIRED

TOWCESTER – NORTHAMPTON

Due to continued growth we are looking to employ experienced Floor-layers and Improvers/Floor-layers Apprentice.

We specialise in installing floor coverings in both new and existing care homes for the elderly across the UK.

Experienced Floor-layers should be competent in fitting traditional and direct stuck carpets, sub-floor preparation – DPM/Latex, self-coved vinyl sheet and Karndean LVT.

A good attitude to work and smart appearance are also required as our floor-layers deal directly with our clients although workwear will be provided.
Working hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm although occasional weekend working may be required.

Full Driving Licence essential and CSCS Card

Self-Employed on Price work and rates or Direct Employed £40k per year plus Bonus.

Fully expensed Company Van provided, Mobile Phone, Statutory Pension Scheme and 20 days annual holiday Subject to experience/ability and satisfactory completion of a trial period.

Full training will be provided for Improvers/Apprentices.

We require a Contracts Manager to join our team based in Bristol.

The applicant must be adaptable, enthusiastic and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The role will involve liaising with clients, subcontractors and suppliers and so excellent communication skills are essential.

You will be responsible for managing the project from its inception to its completion, including organising the necessary materials, fitters and all the accompanying paperwork.

Flooring projects vary in size, value and location from £1,000 to £500,000, based predominantly in the South West from our Bristol Office, but we do cover a wide area so a full, clean driving licence is essential.

As well as commercial flooring projects we are also an Altro approved Premier installer of Whiterock Cladding and these projects will also form part of your responsibilities.

In addition to the above we may consider an Assistant Contracts Manager role.

Aspect Commercial Flooring Ltd is a long-established, highly successful Commercial Flooring company operating in London and the Home Counties. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join us as our company continues to grow.

You will be required to liaise with our pre-contracts department and our valued clients to facilitate the smooth processing of our projects. Carry out pre-start site surveys, order materials and allocate labour, taking responsibility for Cost Management, H&S and O&Ms.

Ideal candidates will be highly motivated with very good attention to detail, the ability to work to deadlines and a flair for communication. Excellent spoken English and numeracy are essential, as is a strong commitment to the role and a positive outlook. Prior experience of the Commercial Flooring Industry as a Project Manager is required, together with strong IT skills (Microsoft Excel and Outlook), and a working knowledge of Construction Drawings and Callidus.

Office hours are 7.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday. Some weekend working will be required.

Salary £40,000- £60,000+ per annum, pro-rata, OTE.

Required Skills:

3 years minimum Project Management experience in Commercial Flooring. Highly Numerate. Excellent English. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Callidus/CAD, Construction Drawings.
