Business benefits with the Master Installer badge

COMPLETING the Quick-Step Master Installer programme at the Academy for Excellence in Flooring reportedly helps installers to unlock a range of business benefits.

As the only Quick-Step approved installers, professionals holding the prestigious Master Installer card are able to enjoy a range of exclusive business benefits, most notably a manufacturer-backed lifetime warranty on workmanship.

Alongside, all Master Installers feature on the Quick-Step website, which received more than 14,000 searches for installers alone. And as more and more consumers become accustomed to online shopping but want expert installation, this number is likely to increase.

Lee Thompson, technical and procurement manager, Academy for Excellence in Flooring:

‘Undoubtedly, the lifetime workmanship warranty is a big reason for consumers to select a Master Installer to fit their new Quick-Step wood, laminate or LVT floor. Being listed on the Quick-Step website, which received more than 100,000 stockist enquiries in 2020 alone, is a big reason for professionals to become a Master Installer. It’s a valuable stream of enquiries from customers looking for quality.’

Alongside the website listing, Master Installers are also given access to the Quick-Step stockist database within their area, allowing them to build links with any of the brand’s outlets listed on the website and forming valuable relationships that can provide a regular flow of work.

Membership to the scheme also includes a free technical helpline, marketing packs, ID card, clothing, quotation guidance and warranty forms. As Lee is keen to point out, it’s a compelling package:

‘The professionalism of installers is hugely important for consumers as they are often spending considerable amounts on a new floor, so having the right tools available to build confidence shouldn’t be underestimated.

‘That’s not just in the knowledge and skills gained during the Master Installer scheme, but also in the way the business relationship is approached. That’s why we make sure every Master Installer is fully supported: a professional approach from start to finish.’

The Master Installer programme is available for wood and laminate and LVT floors. The three-day pass or fail course covers practical, technical and theoretical knowledge to ensure the programme represents the industry’s most highly-skilled installers. All Master Installers are required to refresh their skills every three-years to ensure high standards of workmanship are upheld.
