Spectre from Parkside wins Wall Tile of the Year

SPECTRE from Parkside has won Wall Tile of the Year in the TTA Awards 2021. Judged by a panel of experts, the TTA Awards are top accolades for the tile industry, recognising excellence in product, innovation, and installation.

Parkside’s Spectre tile secured the top spot in the hotly contested Wall Tile of the Year category.

Tina Hughan, head of marketing, Parkside says: ‘We’re delighted to have won Wall Tile of the Year at the TTA Awards with our Spectre tile. The ceremony is always something to look forward to and it was great to see so many fabulous entries from right across the industry.’

Spectre is a study that investigates the reactions of light on different glazes. Made up of three finishes: the playful and pearlescent hologram, matt and gloss, Spectre lets designers explore the interaction of light on different surfaces. By combining the different glazes in a random combination or structured pattern, the collection can be used to dramatic effect, with light dancing across the finishes for a unique look at every viewing angle, says the company.

Most notable, it adds, the hologram finish uses a precious metals glaze to recreate an incredibly captivating and ever-changing spectrum effect. Each tile is unique, simply adding to the impact, with different gradients and shade combinations.

Changing colour and reflectivity depending on where its viewed and the light conditions at that time, the hologram finish brings a different kind of pop to wall tiles.

Suitable for commercial and residential interiors, the exclusive Spectre collection is available from Parkside in four colourways, ‘giving designers and specifiers the chance to explore unique finishes with the reassurance of the supplier’s high service levels’.
