Verona hires team to drive sales for new flooring collection

FOLLOWING the launch of its flooring collection, Verona has recruited three new members of the team to drive forward this new category for the business.

With a focus on independent retailers and developing distribution across the UK, the new sales team reportedly has ambitious targets to meet and will liaise closely with customers to provide sales materials to ensure retailers can effectively sell the full flooring portfolio to consumers.

A group of highly experienced, subject experts, the new flooring team will be led by national sales manager, Dean Smith and supported by business development manager for the south, Adam Curran, and business development manager for the north, Chris Lamb.

Dean, who joins the team from UK Flooring Direct, has high hopes for Verona’s floorcoverings portfolio with his long-term vision to create a flooring collection that is affordable without sacrificing quality.

He says: ‘Our focus is to supply customers with original and innovative products across a range of price points. Drawing on Verona’s extensive expertise of supply chain management, marketing, and customer service, I’m confident we can move into a new market with ease and give retailers a constant supply of new products that will excite their customers.’

Another recruit with vast knowledge of the floorcoverings sector, Chris Lamb, joins with 13 years’ experience working for some of the most prominent manufacturers and distributors in the market. He comments: ‘I’m extremely confident in Verona’s abilities to become a leading supplier of floor coverings. Verona’s current structure, expertise and success within the tiling sector will offer the flooring division a strong foundation to replicate their previous and ongoing accomplishments but with flooring products.

‘We have new launches coming soon with the first our highly anticipated SPC LVT Click Tile range. This product has limited exposure and distribution in the market and will complement our current wood plank SPC LVT, Clicklux, offering the consumer a wide variety of designs in both wood plank and tile-effect. Our new Hydroclick Laminate also offers something completely different with a choice of chevron, herringbone, vintage patchwork, and Victorian tile designs.’

It’s well known the team at Verona are a credit to the company’s success. When asked why he decided to make the move to Verona, Adam Curran commented: ‘The people. Whilst interviewing, it was clear that it’s the people that makes Verona tick, and I wanted to be part of that team.

‘The role also provides an opportunity to help shape the direction for Verona’s new category, which is something any sales manager would relish. I’ve worked within flooring for around five years, across carpet and flooring, wearing plenty of different hats, including sales assistant, warehouse, trade counter and even the occasional delivery driver, but this is the most challenging and diverse role yet.’
