PROJECT OVERVIEW
Big Art and Banners were commissioned to design, supply, and install a bespoke vinyl floor graphic for Wrexham AFC, one of the oldest and most iconic football clubs in the world.

The brief was clear: create an engaging and impactful floor design that reflects the club’s identity while enhancing the fan experience within their revamped retail and welcome area.

OBJECTIVES

• Design a large-format, durable vinyl graphic resembling a football pitch.
• Align the floor graphic design with the bold club branding featured on surrounding walls.
• Ensure precise and bubble-free installation across tiled surfaces.
• Deliver a visually striking result suitable for high footfall.

CHALLENGES
Surface Preparation: The existing surface was a tiled floor, which required careful cleaning and preparation to ensure proper adhesion.

Graphic Alignment: The pitch markings had to be laid with pinpoint accuracy to maintain visual symmetry, especially with reference to the wall branding.

Installation Timing: Work had to be completed under tight deadlines to ensure the space was ready ahead of a major club event.

OUR APPROACH
Consultation & Planning:
Collaborated closely with the Wrexham AFC team to finalise the design. Our
in-house design team created a scaled-down football pitch layout tailored to the dimensions of the entrance area.

Material Selection:
Selected premium-grade high tack vinyl with anti-slip lamination, ideal for indoor spaces with heavy footfall.

OUTCOME
The final result transformed the club’s welcome area into an immersive branded space that immediately captures attention. The floor pitch design aligns perfectly with the surrounding Wrexham AFC branding wall, creating a cohesive and professional finish.

Precision Print & Cut:
Used high-resolution printing for sharp white line markings and realistic grass textures. Each vinyl panel was pre-cut to ensure seamless application.

Expert Installation:
Our experienced fitters worked on-site, laying each section meticulously. Tools such as squeegees and heat guns ensured smooth adhesion, especially around the grout lines and edges.
