Danfloor Area Sales Manager – North East

danfloor (Uk) Limited (An Ulster Group Company) is a leading manufacturer and supplier of specialist carpets for the health, education and commercial flooring sectors. Established in the UK in 1985 danfloor (Uk) Limited is recognised as a successful organisation that has built its reputation on the foundations of product, service and its people.

Due to our continued expansion, we now have an opportunity to join our Sales Team in the North East. The role is essentially territory-based and will therefore require residency within the area (Humberside, Yorkshire, Co. Durham, Northumberland, Tyne & Wear)

The Role of Area Sales Manager

Our territory Sales Manager role offers a challenging sales career for a motivated and committed individual to be successful within the textile and interior finishes market.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of sales success within the specification sector, working with interior products across the architect and interior design community, as well as fit-out and flooring contractors. Experience within residential care and social housing, education, healthcare, and commercial building sectors is highly desirable.

After an introductory period, you will be expected to increase the awareness of the danfloor brand within the region to our existing commercial & healthcare customers, develop and generate new business opportunities across all market sectors and maintain, manage and grow profitable business. In return, the position offers the successful individual an opportunity to become an integral part of a thriving team and forward-thinking organisation.

Through your experience and knowledge, you will contribute to the ongoing success of the wider Ulster group. Ideal candidates should be able to demonstrate:

  • A previous track record of commercial sales success within the flooring and carpet industry
  • An understanding of working within the construction industry and the contractor sector
  • Knowledge of the architectural sector and the specification route to market
  • Fantastic organisational and project management skills, and the ability to work on one’s own initiative
  • An ability to manage time effectively & produce IT-based data on time
  • Strategic management of project leads and follow-through to the achievement of tasks & goals.

Trainer and Assessor – Insitu Resin Flooring

Location: Remote working with travel to the training centre and sites across the UK

B. Job Description

To deliver and assess FeRFA’s NVQ Level 2 programme, supporting learners through a structured 18-month course combining practical training, portfolio building, and preparation for assessment.

This role plays a vital part in shaping the next generation of skilled resin flooring professionals and raising industry standards. You will also assess learners on completion of the 14-module course and On-Site Assessment Training (OSAT) for experienced, skilled resin applicators.


C. Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver training aligned with the Resin Flooring Operative Level 2 specialist training standard.

  • Assess learner competence through on-site observation, portfolio evidence, and skills tracking.

  • Provide tailored learner support and coaching, ensuring trainees progress and meet required standards.

  • Guide trainees in the development of their knowledge, skills, and behaviours as detailed in the NVQ framework.

  • Conduct regular employer engagement to ensure workplace support aligns with training needs.

  • Support trainees in readiness for their assessment.

  • Champion health and safety best practice, environmental awareness, and sustainable working methods in line with FeRFA’s values.

  • Attend standardisation meetings and work with the CITB team to ensure consistent quality and compliance with relevant standards.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of training materials, content, and the learner experience.


D. Requirements

  • Extensive experience in the resin flooring industry.

  • Vocational qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 2 or 3).

  • Recognised assessor qualification (training can be provided).

  • Ability to travel to sites and training locations across the UK.

  • Experience in delivering work-based learning.

  • Experience delivering training programmes.

  • Familiarity with NVQ training standards and assessment procedures.
