Helen Tidmarsh wins Outstanding Achievement Award

At the CFJ Flooring Industry Awards held at Dallas Burston Polo Club, Coventry on 5 September, Helen Tidmarsh, our Operations Manager, received the Outstanding Achievement Award in recognition of 35 years’ dedicated service to the industry. The award was announced by Shaun Wadsworth, our training manager and the 2024 winner of this award and presented by stand-up comedian—and former carpet fitter—Jack Skipper.

Helen symbolises the highest standards of professionalism and integrity for our trade. Since 1991, she has tirelessly and selflessly dedicated herself to the flooring sector, striving to elevate industry standards and support the quality supply chain. Those who have worked with her, whether as colleagues, partners, or industry peers can attest to her firm dedication and the lasting impact she has made. Her influence is not just significant; it is fundamental. Behind every industry initiative the CFA work towards, sector-wide campaign, or development aimed at advancing the flooring industry, Helen plays a pivotal role. She is not just involved; she is vital to the success of these efforts.

Helen said on winning the award “Receiving the CFJ 2025 Outstanding Contribution of the Year Award was a wonderful surprise and an incredible honour. Over the years, I’ve been lucky to work with so many lovely people across the flooring industry and beyond. The variety, experiences, and friendships I’ve gained, especially across three trade associations, have made this work so rewarding and something I feel truly fortunate to do.”

Richard Catt, CEO of the CFA commented: “I could not be more delighted that Helen has received this award as it is so richly deserved. It is important to recognise the work of the CFA, and the people behind it. In this case, someone who has demonstrated an outstanding individual contribution and dedication.”

Many congratulations to Helen from all at the CFA.
