THE machine washability of Louis De Poortere’s EcoRugs has reportedly been put to the test by The Independent newspaper, scoring 4.5 stars out of five and rated best Luxury Washable Rug.
Today, every Louis De Poortere Ecorug isn’t only made to be recycled or reused through the Take Care Program, but also wonderfully easy to clean, says the company.

‘So easy in fact, that they can be machine washed to remove the dirt and stubborn marks that regular vacuuming and spot-cleaning can’t shift. Every Ecorug can be washed on a gentle spin-cycle at 30deg C to restore its appearance and give years of use in the home.’

Continues the company: ‘In a recent feature by The Independent newspaper, the washability of the EcoRugs collection was put to test. During the testing on rugs from different suppliers, shoes were left on, pets were allowed, and spills applied. The results were judged on washability, and the feel and look both pre- and post-wash.’

According to The Independent, Louis De Poortere’s Mad Men Griff rug looked like a ‘rug you’d expect to tiptoe around, not chuck in the washing machine – but that’s exactly what made it so impressive’.

Continued the company: ‘Testers found the rug held its colour and softness without a hint of compromise after washing, scoring almost full marks for its all-round performance and declaring it ‘properly premium, but built for real life’.

The Independent rated Griff as the ‘Best Luxury Washable Rug’.
