Kemtile showcased single source flooring solutions at PPMA 2025

KEMTILE says it used PPMA 2025 to engage prospective customers on the benefits of coming to an internationally-backed industrial flooring and drainage business with a single source approach to flooring projects across the process and packaging industry.
The PPMA Show was held between 23-25 September and is the largest processing and packaging machinery exhibition held annually at NEC Birmingham in the UK.
Kemtile, part of global flooring group Stonhard, says it’s been providing single source design and install solutions to the sector for more than 40 years and works with some of the world’s best known specialist product suppliers in the space.
Its experts, together with European market player in hygienic kerbs and walls PolySto and Spanish manufacturer of protection bollards and PVC cladding Panelchok – were on stand C122 at PPMA 2025 to focus attention on the importance of sourcing the right product and service expertise to meet flooring needs.
Kemtile specialises in providing what it describes as a complete range of hygienic, durable epoxy and polyurethane flooring systems from Stonhard.
PolySto offers hygienic construction materials specifically designed to eliminate food safety risk. Its durable CleanRock kerbs and CleanSheet walls and ceilings ensure a food processing environment remains hygienic and safe, minimising the potential for contamination and safeguarding the quality of products, says the company.
Panelchok says it manufactures its protection products in a ‘high-performance eco-polymer with a hidden fixing system in a range of lengths and diameters’.
Its anchoring technology prevents breakage on impact – a strength of resistance that has been independently tested by UKAS certified accreditation body TÜV Nord, adds the company.
Kemtile’s business development manager Akeel Ahmed commented: ‘Together with our colleagues at Polysto and Panelchok we’re developing robust, compliant turnkey solutions to flooring challenges in every possible process and packaging environment.’
Nick van den Bosschelle, vice president global business development from PolySto added: ‘We’ve spent the past 30 years investing in product design and construction to provide the highest level of protection for process-driven facilities, partnering with Kemtile and other master installers in more than 100 countries worldwide.’
Kemtile’s director Jamie Cook commented: ‘The PPMA Show remains a key platform for Kemtile and Stonhard to meet existing and new customers, understand new trends and challenges facing the industry, and advise companies on their flooring and drainage needs.’
Earlier this year, CFJ published Kemtile’s background. It was started back in 1979 by Terry Hardman, who has since sadly passed away. Steven Westley and Jamie Cook took it over around the late ‘80s and ran it until 2018 when they sold it to American company RPM. Kemtile is now amalgamated with RPM’s UK flooring division, which is called Stonhard UK. It says it’s become in essence a single-source service company in that it manufactures and installs.
Today, about 90% of the business is resin flooring and the other 10%, depending on what time of year it is, is ceramic tile.
A lot of the company’s work takes place in the UK and the little bit of idiosyncrasy of it all is that there is a Stonehard division in Southern Ireland, says the company. The company currently has about 50 staff who work in the offices, supervision and management etc with an additional 10 subcontractors.
Kemtile has installed floors for some of Britain’s biggest companies including Cargill, Pepsico, AstraZeneca, Reckitt and BAE, as well as working for its newest brands, breaking new ground in battery recycling, pharmaceutical manufacturing and plant-based food manufacture.
