FOREST Place Nursing Home required comprehensive renovation to improve its facilities. A critical component of this project was the installation of new flooring across a 12sq m area.
The client faced significant time constraints, necessitating a solution that would allow for rapid application and quick drying times. Traditional screeding methods posed a substantial challenge owing to their longer drying periods and the need for increased manpower and material storage.
WA Screeding opted to use Cemfloor Liquid Screed for the Forest Place Nursing Home project. This decision was driven by several key benefits that are said to have aligned perfectly with the project’s requirements.
‘WA Screeding was able to lay the entire 1,200sq m area in two days,’ says Cemfloor. ‘Traditional screed would’ve taken a minimum of 10 days, significantly impacting the project timeline. The quick application process reduced labour requirements, minimising workforce
on-site and allowing other trades to proceed sooner.
‘Cemfloor screed also dries much faster than traditional screeds, allowing foot traffic after just 24 hours and full floorcovering installations in 28 days. This rapid drying time was crucial in adhering to the tight project schedule.’
