‘Profilpas delivers complete finishing solutions for every flooring type’
MAPEI’s Profilpas series provides a complete finishing solution for all types of flooring, spanning industrial, tile, stone and timber, says the company.
‘Wide and diverse, the range includes expansion joints and skirting boards in various finishes – from aluminium to colour-matched wood patterns – for the perfect transition between individual surfaces and from floor-to-wall.’
Profilpas Projoint
The Projoint range includes movement joints for finishing level surfaces, in stainless steel and brass finishes, offered in four different formats.
Continues Mapei: ‘For bonded floors in commercial and industrial settings, Projoint DIL NTA is a natural aluminium floor expansion joint with perforated fixing legs. Designed to accommodate movement from +2mm to -2mm, the joint provides grip between all surfaces and withstands heavy foot and vehicle traffic, including fork-lifts, pallet trucks and vehicles.
Projoint T is designed for uncoupling, protecting and decorating level floors in different kinds of material, including engineered tiles, stone and wood.’
Adds the company: ‘The steel profile’s wide T-shaped cross section is suitable for hiding imperfections between different surfaces and can offset slight slopes, while creating an anchor for adhesives and sealants. Projoint M is a slim profile designed to uncouple and decorate bonded or mortar floors. This joint has a visible depth of 5 or 10mm and is available in an aluminium and natural brass finish, ideal for polished floors.’
Also featuring a slim format, Projoint R is designed to split and decorate tile, stone and other types of floor, and uncouple floors of different materials. Its profile also reportedly makes it suitable for floors requiring polishing such as marble and wood.
Unisystem Plus
The Unisystem Plus range provides a finishing solution for wood and laminate floors, in four different formats. Each joint is offered in Alcrom Plus wood patterns and can be colour-matched using PDS (Profilpas Digital System) technology.
Unisystem Plus C/ is designed for floors of different heights, while Unisystem Plus Z/ joins floors of equal heights and comprises an aluminium base, clip and top profile. Unisystem Plus S/9 and Unisystem Plus S/15 are edging profiles selected in line with the thickness of the floor. All three allow for the expansion of floating wood and laminate floors in thicknesses from 6.5 mm to 22.6 mm.
Unisystem Plus G/2 and G/4 – a series of stair-nosings – completes the series and allows for the expansion of floating wood and laminate in thicknesses from 6.5mm to 15mm.
Metal Line 90
Offered in a range of anodised aluminium finishes, Metal Line 90 is a series of skirting boards, offered in a self-adhesive format or suitable for bonding. The bottom edge of the skirting board flares neatly to meet the floor, hiding expansion gaps. Special metal or polypropylene accessories are also available to create internal and external corners, joints and end caps.
