At CDW, Egger, a global manufacturer of wood-panel products, spotlighted the Egger Flooring Collection 25+. The new collection offers a range of designs, board formats and surfaces, including NatureSense and AquaDura. NatureSense is made from over 80% renewable materials, while AquaDura offers a more sustainable alternative to conventional LVT, combining style with performance.
Egger’s flooring business has expanded since the ’90s, strengthening its reputation in laminate and multi-material formats. Charlotte Jarvis, National Distribution Sales Manager and a 25-year flooring veteran, explains the company was founded in 1961 by Fritz Egger, who believed wood was too valuable to throw it away. The business is still family-run today, with Michael Egger Jr, Grandson of the founder, part of the leadership team.
CDW is a pivotal moment for EGGER flooring, says Mark Brooks, DIY Key Account Manager and a five-year Egger flooring specialist. ‘It cements our presence in the specification space. While architects often associate Egger with decorative products, many are surprised that we also manufacture flooring.’
A standout product is Egger’s herringbone laminate. ‘Many UK versions use smaller planks, but ours are larger and resemble engineered wood,’ says Charlotte. ‘It works well in open-plan spaces and features a universal UNIZIP locking system, which eliminates the need for left and right planks, making installation easier and reducing waste.
AquaDura is described by Charlotte as a hybrid product. It combines the surface characteristics of LVT with an HDF core, matt finish, bevelled edges and built-in fibre underlay. It’s made from 90% renewable materials, offering comfort underfoot and ease of installation. Its improved tolerance also makes it more stable than many click LVT products.
Egger supplies into hospitality, offices, public buildings and residential spaces, with clients including Vistry and Berkeley Homes. Charlotte highlights the company’s strong technical support. ‘It’s not just about selling a product: it’s about building lasting partnerships and delivering service when it really matters.’
Egger’s showroom officially opens in June and will play a central role in its flooring and decorative showcase. The 2,500 sq ft space, with a 1,900 sq ft ground floor and mezzanine, took about 12 months to transform. According to Vic Hodgson, Senior Marketing Specialist for Specification, the space was designed in collaboration with industry-leading designers. ‘We have two people based in the showroom and a wider London based sales team. It’s an international facility and a creative hub for showcasing trends in both flooring and decorative surfaces.’
