Kick-Start Publishing announces new executive leadership and reaffirms commitment to industry integrity

KICK-START PUBLISHING, publisher of Contract Flooring Journal, Tile and Stone Journal, and The Stocklists, announced in December key executive appointments strengthening the company’s commitment to integrity and industry excellence.

John Miller, formerly commercial director, has been appointed chief executive officer; David Strydom becomes managing director; Neil Owen assumes the role of chief technology officer and Nick Ellis becomes chief operations officer.

These changes follow the immediate departure of former managing director Stuart Bourne. The development of the leadership team comes after an internal review which identified a serious breach of company policy. The matter was isolated, resolved through established oversight processes, and the board remains confident in the strength of its products and services and importantly the financial stability of the business.

‘Our focus is firmly on the future,’ said CEO John Miller. ‘The operational and editorial quality of CFJ, Tile and Stone Journal, and The Stocklists remains strong. We’re committed to delivering the trusted content and commercial value our readers and partners expect. The support we’ve received from customers and the wider flooring community has been truly remarkable and reflects the longstanding relationships we greatly value.’

Kick-Start Publishing assures all advertisers, partners, and readers that business continues uninterrupted. With the new leadership team in place, the company is moving forward with renewed focus on serving and supporting the flooring sector – it’s business as usual. John Miller concluded: ‘Our priority is to maintain trust and transparency with our customers and partners. I welcome calls from our customers, key partners and stakeholders and remain personally available to discuss our strong path forward and commitment to service.’
