Mapei’s UltraCare range includes a series of treatments dedicated to floor protection. Designed to protect all types of tile and stone – and developed for professional and end-user application – the treatments are supplied ready-to-use, for easy application and guarantee surface durability.
Throughout the range, each UltraCare treatment is formulated to suit individual material characteristics and to offer a specific solution. Water-based treatments include UltraCare Grout Release, for pre-installation protection; natural-effect UltraCare Stain Protector; colour-enhancing UltraCare Intensifier, mould-resistant UltraCare Deep Protector and UltraCare Grout Protector. Each benefits from EMI CODE EC1 Plus certification and, being water-based, promotes a fast application after installation, reducing project down-time.
New treatments to join the range for 2025 include two protective liquid waxes – matt-finish UltraCare Finish Opaca and gloss finish UltraCare Finish Lucida. Formulated for internal unpolished stone tiles, the waxes provide protection against a wide range of stains, including oil, ink and acidic stains. They are applied neat with a fleece or cloth after application of an UltraCare impregnator and, once dry, can be buffed; in the case of Opaca, whilst it has a matt finish, buffing can achieve a satin finish. The treatments can also be diluted with water and applied periodically to maintain tile lustre. As well as providing high wear protection, polymers and waxes within the finishes also provide superior transparency, elasticity and improved slip resistance.
Alongside the protectors, Mapei’s UltraCare range also includes a variety of maintenance products which share the UltraCare benefits. They are tailored to suit individual tile characteristics – be it acid sensitive, acid resistant, polished or unpolished – and can be used across all settings, from new installations, to the renovation of existing surfaces. In addition to daily and deep cleaning solutions, the range includes UltraCare Grout Cleaner, UltraCare Anti Mould Protector and UltraCare Smooth Silicone – a mould-resistant smoothing product for finishing sealants. Many treatments also feature throughout Mapei UK’s Zero Line* – a series of low environmental impact products that provide safe and sustainable high-performance solutions with CO2 fully offset in the entire life cycle.
