KICK-START Publishing has announced the formation of a new CFJ editorial board, designed to reinforce editorial independence and content quality. The panel will meet at points throughout the year to review coverage, assess relevance and suggest improvements to ensure the magazine continues to serve the contract flooring industry effectively.
The board will operate in an advisory capacity and will initially comprise three members: an independent flooring consultant, a flooring contractor and a manufacturer. The founding members will be announced soon.
Maintaining neutrality will be a core principle of the board. To support this, no member will be an employee of either Kick-Start Publishing or the Contract Flooring Association (CFA).
‘CFJ has always taken pride in its editorial independence,’ said David Strydom, CFJ editor and managing director of Kick-Start Publishing. ‘That will continue, with informed input from contractors, manufacturers and independent consultants helping to shape our editorial direction. As with the CFJ Awards judging panel, board members are selected to provide objective, unbiased perspectives for the benefit of the wider industry. Contract flooring needs a strong, independent media voice, and that remains central to CFJ.’
