QUICK-STEP inspired visitors through an immersive audio visual experience at this year’s FFD, says the company.
‘Renowned for its passion for design and innovation that has seen it at the forefront of the industry for more than 30 years, Quick-Step used FFD as a chance to immerse visitors in the story behind its latest leading edge floors. Stepping into its impressive Wielsbeke headquarters, visitors were immersed into a multi-sensory encounter showcasing the brand’s most recent industry-defining developments.
‘Walking through the Quick-Step experience, visitors gathered knowledge on two major product developments: the new Impressive collection from the laminate range and the next generation of flooring, Lumic, the result of a 10-years development journey to create the perfect floor that will be launched in 2026.’
Continues the company, ‘Quick-Step’s Impressive collection has been a mainstay in its laminate category floors for over a decade, when it was introduced as the world’s first and only 100% waterproof laminate floor. In 2025, Impressive is being extensively refreshed through a duo of new wood surface structures inspired by two of the world’s hottest interior design trends, minimalism and thoughtful maximalism.
‘These new structures reflect the essence of these trends: refined, subtle elegance that echoes a minimalist approach and a rougher and expressive texture that’s bold and courageous,. Both are available in colours that complement the trends that inspire them and are joined by a selection of the collection’s retained best-selling décors. Each new look also carries 20 different planks for less repeat that gives a more natural effect.’
Alongside these new colours, visitors were also treated to the only 100% waterproof and creak-free laminate herringbone for the very first time in Impressive Design.
Says Quick-Step: ‘Using Unizip for a single plank that’s easier and less complicated to install, the new collection retains all the detail and quality of Impressive. Sharing similar colours, it can also be used alongside standard planks to add refinement and an elevated design in rooms. Quick-Step has made an extraordinary 56 planks available in each colour to ensure that Impressive Design stands out as a laminate herringbone floor that looks just like real wood.’
Niall Cassidy, retail sales manager UK, Unilin Flooring, said: ‘Our immersive experience at FFD placed customers in the stories behind our products – the creation of our new minimalist and maximalist structures and how our designers experiment with materials and techniques to create the unique colours.
‘Thanks for all those that travelled to catch the first view of the brand-new impressive line-up, It’s going to be an exciting few months as we get ready to officially launch it to our retailers around the UK and Ireland.’
