DESIGN firm Interaction’s client leased a building in a prime location in Bath – however it had been unoccupied for some years. The company decided it was time to reinject life back into the potentially desirable building in order to secure new high-quality tenants.

Interaction’s brief therefore was to create a welcoming, modern space within and around the building, which is located just a few minutes walking distance from Bath City Centre.

This CAT A refurbishment project’s design solution included new flooring for the office space and lobby areas. Spread across two floors, the ground-floor, which is open-plan, was configured to offer a flexible space and also easily adaptable into two separate offices.

The flooring installer was RB Flooring and Rapid Select carpet tiles, part of Shaw Contract’s In Stock UK programme and made in the UK, were specified for this project. The flooring design features a combination of styles – Graph in colour Shadow, and Nook in colour Flint, which combine to create what’s described as a contemporary look.

Interaction helped create a space which reportedly instantly aligned to market dynamics and the needs of potential tenants, and have transformed the building into a desirable office space.
