As a Bona Certified Craftsman, you’ll receive valuable training to enhance your already high levels of wood floor finishing skills. We’ll also provide marketing support and invite you to work with our various floor treatment programs to help you build long-term customer relationships. This elite club of expert craftsmen will be promoted to customers on various social media platforms and via web referrals. As a Bona Certified Craftsman, you will receive the highest support from Bona as a business partnership
Our UK based certified contractors undergo two days of training at Bona HQ in Milton Keynes
If you are interested in becoming a Bona Certified Contractor please contact our office on 01908 525 150 and we will put you in touch with your local Bona representative who can explain the criteria further. Membership of this scheme is open to experienced wood floor specialists only.
Once you have successfully completed the course, we’ll add your contact details and a link to your website to the searchable list of Bona Certified Contractors on the Homeowners page of our website. You will also be entitled to use the Bona Certified Contractor logo on your own website, stationery, vehicles etc.
We only invite experienced wood floor contractors to become Bona Certified Contractors. We also ask that you use and promote Bona brand products, offer a dust-free sanding service (preferably the Bona DCS), offer a high quality, professional service, pay the affordable joining fee, and undertake the two days of training with Bona. Please speak to your local Bona technical representative for more information.
Covered during the training:
- Subfloor testing and preparation to BS 8201:2011
- Understanding adhesives and correct selection & use
- Optimal surface preparation for different treatments: modern machines and abrasives.
- Expanding the offer with bespoke treatments including brushing & colour options.
- Specifying the optimal treatment for the situation.
- Maintenance for the life of the floor: offering additional services to the client
- Troubleshooting and avoiding problems.
