Facebook is the key platform for enabling Carpet & Flooring to communicate and engage with our customers. Our key followers on this platform are contractors and installers.
Popular posts on the Carpet & Flooring Facebook page include such things as launching exciting contract and domestic product ranges, news about thrilling give-aways and keeping followers updated on Carpet & Flooring charity days, including sharing delicious bakes, Macmillan Coffee Mornings and revealing the final amount raised for Macmillan Cancer Support.
2021 was also an exciting year for Carpet & Flooring where we were the first flooring distributor to bring customers virtual trade days and demonstrations alongside suppliers such as Ardex and Wolff Tools. Watch this space for future events!
Carpet & Flooring first joined Twitter in May 2012 and has gone from strength to strength. Used as a tool to connect with customers and build connections, Twitter is a fantastic platform for highlighting key features and benefits of products, providing flooring advice and sharing flooring installations submitted by our customers.
Promotions are posted on a regular basis including special offers, Deals of the Month and information on Trade Days which are due to take place at Carpet & Flooring branches around the country. Weblinks are provided on posts, which when clicked on, will bring customers to the Carpet & Flooring website to learn more about a current promotion, Carpet & Flooring’s loyalty scheme, the Red Carpet Club and contact details of our branches.
Since Carpet & Flooring’s first Instagram post in September 2017, both followers and engagement have experienced significant growth.
Aesthetics is a vital element when it comes to choosing your flooring so Instagram is a great way to showcase Carpet & Flooring’s extensive product portfolio while providing our followers with an illustration of how the chosen flooring will appear in situ. As well as sharing installation images, Instagram is an excellent platform for highlighting Deals of the Month and Carpet & Flooring’s loyalty scheme, the Red Carpet Club.
LinkedIn is a valuable tool which enables us to reach key decision makers in a variety of sectors including architects, educational facilities and commercial spaces, providing them with the latest news from Carpet & Flooring, new and exciting product ranges as well as helping to build new connections. In just under a year, the amount of followers on the Carpet & Flooring LinkedIn page has increased by 252%.
At the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, when many people were obliged to work from home, using LinkedIn became a very effective way to inform key decision makers and to share industry news with interested parties. LinkedIn posts contained links whereby followers were directed to the Carpet & Flooring website where they could read blog posts such as how tradespeople can update their website during lockdown while making the most of social media at the same time.
