TORFAEN-based contractors, M2 Flooring, has used UltraFloor’s latest flooring innovation – Level IT Hydra Bond – to install a new 200sq m floor at the Sea Cadets and Scout Hall in Newport, Wales.

The challenge
The project involved stripping back full vinyl tiles and taking a copper disk to the whole subfloor to reveal the original concrete substrate.

The solution

To begin, the entire area was primed with Prime IT Multi-surface Primer, and once cured, Level IT Hydra Bond was trowel applied at a 3mm depth.

Level IT Hydra Bond can reportedly receive bonded floorcoverings after four hours, ‘so in no time at all, M2 Flooring was able to install Forbo Sure Step flooring and finish the job’.

Results
Owing to M2 Flooring’s skills and UltraFloor’s subfloor preparation materials, the Sea Cadets and Scouts are now enjoying their brand new facilities.
