Industry lauds bigger-than-ever CFJ Awards

KICK-START Publishing, the owner of CFJ magazine and its associated awards, has been inundated with congratulations after the success of the 2023 CFJ Awards, which was held at the Dallas Burston Polo Club on Friday 8 September.

The event was the biggest yet with more than 400 attendants.

Said Lisa Shirley, marketing manager at F Ball and Co: ‘Once again The CFJ Awards proved to be a fantastic event and one not to be missed. The venue and entertainment were first-class and it was great to see that so many people from across the flooring industry came along to support the event. The F Ball team enjoyed a great day and we were delighted to pick up an incredible seven awards, including adhesives manufacturer/supplier of the year. We’re already looking forward to next year!’

Similar praise came from Matthew Brown, managing director of Uzin Utz UK Ltd, who said: ‘The CFJ Awards ceremony was a great event and acknowledged the fantastic work of the flooring industry. Uzin Utz UK was proud to win two of the eight awards we were finalists for.’
Rejoice Chikosi, brand & communication manager at Tremco CPG said: ‘It was a pleasure to attend the CFJ Awards this year. They are a great reminder of the importance of making sure the spaces we live, work and interact with are safe and secure underfoot.’

Added Hamish MacGregor, founder of MacGregor Flooring: ‘The glamorous Dallas Burston polo club was an excellent venue set in the exclusive 600 acre estate, giving it a true feeling of opulence. I’m still in shock after receiving the lifetime achievement award and was already on a high after receiving the refurbishment in offices award. That capped a day to remember.’
Wayne Smart, category and marketing director at TradeChoice Carpet & Flooring, said: ‘It was a great event, well organised as ever – well done to all concerned.’

Richard Bailey, managing director of floorwise, said that the awards was, on the whole, ‘very good and the venue was nice and large and the food was great’.

Mark Jackson of TPS360 said: ‘It was a superb venue and the weather couldn’t have been any better. The organisation and efforts from your team didn’t go without notice and the day flowed superbly. Well done all!’

Alison Kitchingman of Milliken thought the event was ‘impressive and enjoyable’, adding that Dallas Burston was ‘a great venue, easy to get to with great parking and a good outdoor area for pre-lunch drinks. It had good air-conditioning, lovely food, the company on our table was good, the atmosphere was easy and relaxed, and the winners were worthy.’
