Isle of Wedmore Golf Club is described as one of the friendliest clubs in Somerset, it has been sympathetically constructed to maintain and enhance the natural environment and offers 18 challenging holes over 6,000 yards with a par of 70. Both the front and back nine start and finish adjacent to the Clubhouse, which is where you will find Morleys’ stair nosings.
Our fast, free measuring service resulted in nosings being supplied with exact sizes. The front staircase required a HN1 Square profile, and the back staircase was an 83° rakeback, perfect for a HN5.
The HN range of nosings feature a 5mm gauge, ideal for mediumweight carpet and carpet tiles, along with a 4mm anti-slip insert, twice as thick as the SN range insert. The extra durability will be well-received on a job like this where spiked golf shoes and other heavyweight footwear may be worn.
Stair nosings were drilled and countersunk before dispatch and ‘pips’ were sent to conceal the screws. Mechanically fixing the stair nosings ensures a sturdy fit and prevents rocking, stretching the lifespan of the nosing.
The insert selected was Dark Blue, this provided both contrast to the carpet, as well as complementing the lighter blue accents within the carpet design.
