F BALL and Co has appointed two sales representatives with the exclusive remit of supporting the retail flooring sector.
Lizzie Farrimond and Gabriela Harper will be the first point-of-call for information and advice on the company’s range of flooring adhesives and preparation products, as well as the procedures needed to ensure optimum results when using them. They’ll also coordinate free training courses, facilitated by the F Ball Centre of Excellence, and raise awareness of the benefits of membership of Ball Rewards – the premium reward scheme for all flooring professionals – including cashback on all purchases of F Ball products.
The new positions were created to help flooring retailers satisfy greater customer expectations when installing particular types of floorcoverings, such as luxury vinyl tiles (LVTs), which have grown exponentially in popularity over the past few years.
The retail trade reps can advise on F Ball’s System LVT range, for example, which comprises products that when used correctly and in combination, guarantee a professional flooring finish when installing these floorcoverings.
Responsible for F Ball’s retail customers in the north, Lizzie Farrimond was previously northern sales representative and distributor account manager for her family’s adhesives business. She later used her infectious Lancashire charm to front her own hospitality company. Speaking of her appointment, Lizzie said: ‘F Ball has always been on my radar – it’s a strong brand, and you immediately think of quality. The fact it’s family-owned has a big appeal to me, personally, and I’m pleased to be part of the family.’
Heading up south, Gabriela Harper joins from an accessories manufacturer, where she helped clients in merchandising, training, and communications strategies. Her knowledge of interior design is expected to be a unique advantage in her new role.
She said: ‘I’m thrilled to be joining the F Ball team. Flooring retail is a key focus for the business, and I’m passionate about supporting our customers, while having the opportunity to make my mark on the industry.’
Darren Kenyon, F Ball’s sales director, added: ‘As the quality and variety of floorcoverings offered by retailers increases, they’re looking for the resources to help meet high customer expectations for installations, so, we feel now is the right time to introduce our new representatives to support the sector. We already have technical reps working closely with flooring contractors, and Lizzie and Gabriela are a welcome addition for our retail customers.’
