ENERGYSTORE and McGraths say they’re delighted to announce what’s described as a first-of-its-kind independent assessment combining the performance of floor insulation and liquid screed products.
The independent technical review performed by KIWA assessed the use of enerygstore TLA and Cemfloor by McGraths as a complete flooring system in the UK and Ireland. Initially combined in the redevelopment of Battersea Power Station the two cementitious products can be used together in bonded and unbonded applications.
The company says the unique characteristics of both products complement each other to deliver project benefits including:
- Enhanced project speed owing to quicker install and drying times
- Reduced floor depth profiles reducing weight and CO2 impact
- A completely non-combustible floor profile
- Cementitious fully bonded floor profile further reducing risk of damage to the screed.
‘We’re thrilled to be working with McGraths and having KIWA recognise the strength of the two products together is fantastic. Battersea really showed us the benefits of what these two products can achieve when combined,’ says Connor McCandless, group sales and innovation director.
Padraic McGrath, head of R&D, Cemfloor, adds: ‘Following significant testing of both products as a composite system, we’re delighted to receive this KIWA recognition for both products as
a complete system. Both products were the solution of choice by B&K Systems on the iconic Battersea Power Station redevelopment project where a strong ultra-lightweight flooring solution
was needed. We have continued to work with energystore on numerous other projects and look forward to furthering development of this innovative system.’
