Instarmac honoured with a Queen’s Award for Enterprise 2022

NOW in its 56th year, the Queen’s Award for Enterprise is the most prestigious business award in the country, with hundreds of businesses applying each year in the hope of receiving this coveted accolade.


Staffordshire-based manufacturer, Instarmac Group, are honoured to receive the highly esteemed Queen’s Award for Enterprise for International Trade 2022 – an award only given to businesses with outstanding overseas trading activities.


On this prestigious honour, Tim Boniface, group finance director at Instarmac, commented: ‘Everyone at Instarmac is delighted to receive a Queen’s Award for Enterprise – even more so to receive it in the same year of The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. We’re very proud of our international partners and our history trading across the globe. We’ve been working with our manufacturing licensees for many years and are full of pride to see their success in making the world’s roads as safe as possible.


‘I’m beyond excited to represent Instarmac at a royal reception later this year and to welcome the Lord-Lieutenant for Staffordshire to our world-class manufacturing facilities in Tamworth.’


A specialist in the manufacture of cement- and bitumen-based products, Instarmac Group have been working with their global partners since 1998 and during that time, their international presence has gone from strength-to-strength.


Global export manager for Instarmac, Angus Longward, commented: ‘It’s been a great honour building our network of global licensing partners. On their partnership, Mr Tanaka, president of Shinreki, Japanese Licensee, said: ‘We’ve recently celebrated our 33 year partnership with Instarmac. During that time we have built a very successful business and are now the number one supplier of Instant Road Repair in Japan.’


Jörg Reick, proprietor of Instamak, German Licensee, commented: ‘Our business has grown over the last 25 years and we have become a market-leader in Germany and surrounding countries.’
Matthew Kinson, VP business development, Da-Lee Pavement Products, Canadian Licensee, said: ‘We only started manufacturing Instarmac Permanent Pothole Repair three years ago and we are already turning over $1m and building a strong reputation in Canada and the US.’
