MODULEO, a flooring brand which has its UK headquarters in Derby, has provided a £500 donation to the also Derby-based Central Musical Theatre Company as a show of support this year.
The Central Musical Theatre Company’s aim is to provide quality entertainment and keep it accessible to a wide audience.
Raising funds annually to offset the costs incurred to stage a musical while keeping ticket prices affordable, the company looks to generate about £3,000 each year.
Nigel Taylor, chair of CMTC, said: ‘Receiving sponsorship from a local business is a wonderful gesture and such patronage helps maintain live theatre, allowing it to thrive. Naturally, theatre has suffered throughout the pandemic therefore we’re very grateful for the donation from Moduleo.’
The Central Musical Theatre company was founded in its first form in 1932 and has since withstood 90 years of change. Most recently it performed a production of ‘Company’ at The Duchess Theatre in Long Eaton.

‘We’re happy to provide the £500 donation and hope it helps cover some of the costs that are incurred when staging a musical. Especially after a forced hiatus owing to Covid, it’s great to see live performance back and we thought it was important for us to show our support. We’d encourage other businesses like ours to do the same if they’re able.’
