ANDERSON Grant, part of the Mercado Group is reportedly the first flooring trade counter in Essex (and only the second in the UK) to offer customers exclusive access to a carpet re-rolling area.
The 12.5x5m, undercover space has been designed to allow customers to cut floorcoverings to size before leaving the trade counter.
‘It’s important for Anderson Grant to not only offer first-class products, but services that customers need to make their jobs easier,’ said Paul Drury, commercial operations manager, Anderson Grant. ‘The re-rolling area means carpet fitters and floorlayers can cut floorcoverings to size, onsite, ensuring poor weather or lack of outdoor space doesn’t hold up a job.’
The new area has been possible, thanks to a move the Anderson Grant team made in November 2021. The team is now based on the Dukes Park Industrial Estate – a more convenient location, just off the A12. Anderson Grant says it continues to provide a wide variety of flooring and accessories, selling a range of floorcoverings from; LVT to carpet to sheet vinyl to hardwood floor and all the preparation, fixing and finishing tools to go with it.
The relocated trade counter now holds more stock of flooring prep materials and tooling – which means customers can reportedly collect flooring essentials for last-minute jobs and replace broken tools within minutes. A free hot drink and a sweet snack is also available while the Anderson Grant team picks the order.
‘Another important service our customer base has been able to rely on is our ability to order in floorcoverings for next day collection,’ continued Paul. ‘With the support of the Mercado distribution network, we’ve ensured this will continue to happen. If customers order before 4pm on any weekday, delivery will be made to the Anderson Grant trade counter and will be ready to collect at 7.30am, the very next working day.’

The Anderson Grant team reportedly has a combined experience of 45 years and says there’s not a flooring problem it hasn’t helped solve.
