Spotlight on buyers at upcoming edition of Cevisama

THE ‘leading event for the ceramic tile, bathroom furnishings and natural stone sector’ is set to return between 27 February-3 March next year, featuring new spaces, new products, and a dynamic buyer recruitment campaign as well as new propositions and ‘a good deal of innovation’.

Significantly, Cevisama says it’s rolling out a major drive to recruit professionals to visit the 2023 fair, targeting important markets such as North America, Germany, the UK, and France among others. Distributors specifiers, architects, interior designers, and designers are just some of the profiles the team at the fair are contacting. Professionals from North Africa are being specially targeted as well, as they’re an audience that’s very interested in ‘Made in Spain’ products and seek out the best quality and design.

Collaboration with IVACE
Also, Cevisama will again be supported this year by IVACE through its IVACE AWARD FOR «TILE OF SPAIN» PROMOTION initiative, a project ASCER is involved in as well and that rewards the top importers and distributors of tiles in a guest foreign country, which in 2023 will be the UK. The initiative means UK distributors, architects, and specifiers will be attending Cevisama as VIP guests.

‘These professionals perceive the event as the perfect place to see the latest trends, network, create new commercial relationships and discover new ways of doing business, as well as where the industry is heading’, reveals Cevisama director Carmen Álvarez.

The fair will as a result be bringing together the top international professionals, reportedly ensuring the full global purchasing power will be at the fair, joining Spain’s distributors and specifiers.

Cevisama: design and trends
Design and trends are part of Cevisama’s DNA, which is why in 2023 a special space is being dedicated to current trends and those that will be emerging next year.

Famous international professionals such as Thom Mayne, Bjarke Ingels and Jacques Herzog have been a part of Cevisama, speaking at the Architecture and Design Forum, where they’ve contributed valuable information on the direction the contract and projects sector is taking and on the link between design and the ceramic tile and bathroom industries.

This year the forum will be themed on sustainability and will feature big name speakers, who’ll show which way the sector is heading from an ‘eco’ perspective.

The forum is set to be a must-attend event, say the organisers, where leading international figures from the world of architecture, interior design and construction will be giving talks and lectures. Referring to their latest and most representative work, they’ll share their vision while also addressing the new needs and concerns of an industry that is evolving all the time.

What this means is the fair is the perfect setting in which to impress and enthral professionals with new designs and technical solutions, so eventually specifiers incorporate everything they’ve seen at Cevisama into their projects.

Cevisama Build, Cevisama’s most eco brand
Cevisama 2023 is taking a step further and launching this new section dedicated to construction solutions, thus completing the fair’s scope of exhibits.

Say the organisers: ‘Materials and techniques that take the environment into account over the short and long-term, energy efficiency, sustainability, design. These concepts are increasingly important in construction and are gathering momentum among companies in the industry. Being eco is important and Cevisama wanted to provide a response to the high demand for sustainable construction with a new space, designated Cevisama Build.’

CEVISAMA TECH, innovation for the ceramic tile industry
The organisers conclude: ‘Cevisama is forging ahead with preparations for its upcoming edition, where it will be launching Cevisama Tech, the world’s foremost showcase for innovation in the ceramic tile industry. The sector’s most cutting-edge players have already confirmed they’ll be exhibiting in this new space.

‘Cevisama Tech will be housed in two halls where visitors will be able to discover all the latest innovations in machinery, frits, glazes and colours for ceramic, software, logistics, BIM companies, applied technology and much more.’
